Is immigration really a priority for the next President?

On Saturday, before an audience of about 700 Hispanics attending the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) [www.naleo.org] conference, both presidential candidates said that immigration is one of their top priorities. Both candidates support a path to citizenship for those in the US illegally. Senator McCain co-sponsored legislation that would have overhauled the immigration system and improved border security but while campaigning to become the Republican nominee the senator backed off the reforms saying that the focus should be on securing the borders before any other reforms.

Both candidates know the importance of the Hispanic vote and will be courting Hispanic voters heavily in the coming months. Hispanics voters will play key roles in states with large number of Spanish peaking voters including the battleground states of Nevada, Colorado, and New Mexico. A recent poll, done by AP-Yahoo News, shows Obama leading McCain among Hispanic voters. Something the next President should consider is the amount of money the U.S. is investing to secure our southern borders and how much is the Mexican investment. Canada’s investment in securing the US-Canadian border and working with the US helps to keep both countries safer. Going forward, part of the immigration policy should be to work with both Canada and Mexico and understand what national security efforts they are employing.

The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat…It’s time for the Olympics!

The 2008 is fast approaching. On August 8, 2008 in Beijing, China 205 countries will have over 10,000 athletes competing in over 30 events. For many athletes this is their moment and they’ve been waiting for four long years. Lat weekend, the U.S. Olympic trials in diving and gymnastics took place. In diving, the athlete with the highest score was guaranteed a spot on the Olympic team. In gymnastics the top two athletes were guaranteed spots. Then the top 6 in diving and the top 12 in gymnastics will go to selection camps where the rest of the teams will be decided. The men’s gymnastics team has already been named.

Starting today, the Olympic trials continue with swimming and diving. Live television coverage will take place on NBC and USA so check your local listings. You can also go to NBCOlympics.com. The site has information about our athletes and their sports. During the Olympics, you can watch live streaming video of the events so you don’t miss any of the action. Other web sites you can check out are Olympic.org and the official web site of this year’s Olympics, beijing2008.com.

Not everyone is happy about this year’s Olympics. Protesters against China’s treatment of Tibet are protesting the Olympics and the fact that President Bush may be in attendance at the opening ceremonies. U. S. are urging the President not to attend but he’s said that he wants to support our athletes as they pursue their Olympic dreams. He doesn’t feel that the Olympics should be made political. Since China has taken over almost 50% of our current debt, I doubt the President is going to turn down an invitation to attend the world’s greatest sports event.

It is the best and worst of times for employment in America

As the economy slows finding a job could take months or even up to a year. Before doing a job search do some soul searching, make some decisions, and then do some research. Are you a new college graduate, a career changer, a new mom who wants or needs to work but also needs more control over your time or are you over fifty and wanting to feel more passionate about your next career? CNN Money has a good article that highlights the best jobs depending on what type of job hunting you are doing. As you research these jobs, think about what skills you have through education, work, and personal experience that may be transferable at least into an entry level position. Then find out what education or certification, if any you need to get your next dream job. It will make the experience for you and the employer a win/win opportunity.

Another web site to look at is the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ employment projection page. It gives information by industry and by occupation. It also discusses any training needed for any occupation. The web site also has links to job market information by state. You can find that here. This will help you decide if you can pursue your dream job where you live. It’s a web site that is smart to have as part of your job hunt. Doing research will not only help you with your search but you will also get a clear picture of any challenges a job sector or occupation faces now and in the future.

Finding a job is hard and a slow economy makes it harder. Consider starting part-time or fulltime business or taking jobs to keep the cash flowing while you hunt for your dream job. Also, don’t forget to network. Visit or contact your local library and ask the reference librarian to help you find out which organizations and magazines deal with the industry or occupation you are interested in working. If the organization has a local chapter, call them up and see if you can talk with someone about the industry. Any advantages you can give yourself will go along way in getting you employed or in business for yourself faster. Recession or not, this is still a country where you can follow your dreams and make them a reality.

Baby Boomers making prescriptions stretch due to recession

We live in a fast-paced, fast-food world. Even though we have poorer health than ever before, thanks to pharmaceutical companies, we are also living longer. A recent study by AARP found that the recession is shocking the systems of baby boomers and they are having trouble adjusting financially. This is leading some to skip or cut back on prescriptions to make their medicine stretch. This decision will lead to compromised healthcare and drive up costs.

Baby boomers do have options. They can switch to generics. Some medication is not offered in generic form but any medicine that is offers savings to the consumer. Another option is to take part in any discount pricing offered by retailers like Wal-Mart, Target, and Walgreens. They could also buy medication online or from Canada.

The best option would be to change to a healthy diet, start an exercise program, and make sure they have good supplements to make up for any vitamins and mineral deficiencies. USANA’s Essentials are great vitamins to replace the missing vitamin and minerals we need for optimal health. The vitamin levels are higher than Recommended Daily Amount (RDA) which only provides the minimum amounts we need for good health. Visit USANA on the web. Click on “products” and select item#101 to learn more about these supplements.

Be safe. Wash your vegetables!

The current salmonella outbreak in tomatoes is a reminder that we should always wash our vegetables. The Food Network has a good article with tips on how to properly wash your vegetables. For tips on how to avoid salmonella I am also including an article from Yahoo News.

We need to be proactive or things will only get worse

The next President of the United States will need to lead the country in a new direction. In order to keep our status as a superpower, we need a government that is proactive not reactive. Across the country Mother Nature is showing her power. She is also showing the flaws in our country’s infrastructure. Our power grids are old and our levees are being breached. Our bridges are collapsing and we don’t have a system in place to trace the source of food contamination. People on the West Coast are sitting in the dark in the heat and dealing with hundreds of brush fires. The heat will lead to an increase in health incidents while the fires will increase property damage. In the Midwest, farmers in our heartland are losing crops to flooding but not because of the massive amounts of rain.

Our levees are being breached and several farmers have lost their crops. Many did not have time to reseed before the flood. Even though they lost their crops, farmers are still obligated to honor their contracts. We can expect to see higher prices at grocery stores. What we won’t see is tomatoes. A nationwide salmonella outbreak in tomatoes has growers unable to sell their tomato crops. This is good for local growers who have seen an increase in their tomato sales. This will continue to be a problem until the farm is found that was the source of the contaminated tomatoes. A system needs to be put in place to be able to trace food contamination in order to minimize deaths and affecting the bottom lines of growers and buyers around the country.

A president can’t beat Mother Nature or predict the extent of damage that she will cause. He can, however, work with Congress and state governments to help make us less vulnerable to Mother Nature’s wrath. Improving our infrastructure would increase our national security. Rather than fighting a war in one country in the Middle East and helping that country rebuild, I hope our next President focuses his attention on the nation building that needs to happen here in America.

Happy Juneteeth!

In communities around the country, annual Juneteenth celebrations are taking place. Also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, Juneteenth is recognized as an annual holiday or holiday observance in 29 states. The holiday originated in Galveston, Texas and commemorates the abolition of slavery in Texas. On June 19, 1865, two and a half years after Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation became law, Union General Gordon Granger marched into Galveston, Texas with his federal troops to take possession of Texas and enforce the emancipation of her slaves. When the slaves learned of their freedom they celebrated in the streets. A year later the first Juneteeth celebration took place. Today many people celebrate Juneteeth in addition to celebrating the Fourth of July. To find out more about Juneteenth and what celebration are taking place near you go to Juneteenth World Wide Celebration.

Looking for a new job or to start a new business? Think Green.

Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth has given the green movement a lot of momentum. Both presidential candidates say they support creating green collar jobs. As America moves toward being kinder to the environment, a new employment sector has sprung up. But what exactly is a green collar job?

In a Time magazine article by Bryan Walsh, a green collar job is defined as any job that puts America “on the path to a cleaner, more energy efficient future”. It also has to pay decent wages and benefits that can support a family and be part of a career path with upward mobility. Jobs in public transit, green building, energy efficiency, and even traditional manufacturing have the potential to be green. In other words, jobs that used to be blue collar would become green collar. A big supporter of green jobs is the United Steelworkers Alliance which sees this as a way of fighting outsourcing and keeping manufacturing jobs in America.

Today, Congress will vote whether to fully fund the Green Jobs Act and the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant. If funded the money from these two appropriation bills will help to fund green jobs creation and training. This will be an opportunity for us to see how the two presidential candidates vote. To say you are in favor of supporting the creation of green jobs is one thing but their actions will speak to each candidate’s true commitment.

Maintain Good Health with Supplements, Weight Management, and a good Personal Care program

Exposure to the environment can be damaging to our skin, and the linings of our respiratory and gastrointestinal passages. Our food is over processed and has too many added preservatives leading to nutrient deficient food. The Centers for Disease Control recognizes that poor diet coupled with physical inactivity is one of the leading causes of death in the United State today. The eight chronic and degenerative diseases shortening our life span today are cancer, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s, osteoporosis, arthritis, and obesity. One in three children in the U.S is overweight or borderline and likely to develop type 2 diabetes.

We can do better. The key is to choose to live a healthy lifestyle and encourage our children to do the same. Choosing the best supplements, weight management, and personal care products can help. USANA Health Sciences has created high-quality products to combat the threats from the environment and our unhealthy lifestyles. The nutritional products have higher absorption rates and potency than most products on the market. The skin care line is preservative free and the weight management products are low-glycemic. Below are some the products USANA Health Sciences offers:

Nutritionals
Adults can get their nutritional needs met with USANA's Essentials, the most complete multivitamin on the market. Children 13 months to 12 years old can take Usanimals and teens 12 years to 18 years old can take Body Rox. These nutritional supplements are formulated to promote optimal health. Adults that want to customize their nutritional program to meet their specific needs should look into USANA’s Optimizers. USANA supplements were voted number one in the Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements, which evaluates over 500 different supplements in the marketplace.

Weight Management
Studies show that over time diets fail. The three main reasons are that diets are used as a quick fix, usually focus on specific foods leading to unbalanced nutrition, and eating high-glycemic foods results in the spiking and dropping of your blood sugar which leads to rapid returns to feeling hungry.

As a solution, USANA has created Macro-Optimizers. These products help you to make healthier dietary choices. USANA also created the RESET program. It was developed to help people take positive steps toward reaching their health and weight0loss goals. This is not a fad diet. This is a program designed to put people on track to living a healthier lifestyle. So far I’ve lost ten pounds and exercise at least five days a week. Last year it was hard to get me out of bed or off the couch.

Skin Care
USANA’s Sense skincare products are preservative free and combat the effects of environmental damage to the skin. Sense products reduce the visible signs of aging and give skin the benefits of pure, healthy ingredients.

To learn more about USANA products and to place an order visit USANA on the web.

Cutting corners and creative savings to deal with tightening budgets

There’s talk that relief from the recession and energy crisis may be almost two years away. To save money at the pump, consider carpooling to run your errands. If you have friends that live near you, share the driving, especially if you live in a more rural community. Going to the doctor, the bank, and general shopping venues can be 20 to 25 minutes away. Carpooling with friends may save you up to $50. Combine that with any savings from taking public transportation, carpooling, or biking to work and the savings could double. The savings will continue to increase as people also change their food-buying habits.

Where I live there is a Walmart, a Family Dollar, a Dollar tree, a CVS, an international grocery store, and two regular grocery stores. They are all within a three mile radius. One of the grocery stores has better quality products but my budget won’t allow for loyalty. Shopping for basic food items and store brands at the other grocery store saves me a lot of money. Buying household items at Walmart or the dollar stores saves me even more. Shoppers around the country have to do all we can to save. Food prices are projected to rise another 3 to 4 percent this year while wages are expected to remain the same. Below are some consumer saver websites that may be of interest:

Journalist giant is gone but will never be forgotten

On Friday, June 13, 2008, America lost her most influential American political journalist. Timothy J. Russert, Jr. collapsed while working and died from a heart attack. He was 58. Tim Russert was the “regular guy” of television journalism. He was a master of his craft but never forgot his Buffalo, New York roots. He was a family man and devout Catholic. Honoring the relationship between fathers and children he wrote two books, Big Russ and Me and Wisdom of Our Fathers (go to Amazon.com to check out his books). Faith, family, politics, sports, and the music of the Boss gave Time Russert his greatest joys in life. Growing up inside the beltway, Tim was part of my family’s Sunday ritual and remained so as I became an adult. His passing leaves a huge void. He will be missed but not forgotten. If you are interested in sending you condolences, you can email them to Russell.Condolences@nbcuni.com or log on to MSNBC and share your thoughts.

In other news…

Iraq- Prime Minister Nouri al-Malaki says that talks with the U.S. are deadlocked over a new security agreement that would enable American troops to remain in Iraq after December 31, 2008. Opponents of the agreement feel it gives U.S too much power over Iraqi affairs and they would like an agreement that preserves Iraqi sovereignty. Some key issues being negotiated are immunity for American soldiers, control of Iraqi air space, and the authority to detain suspects. It seems the Iraqi government agrees with the American people. It is time for the Iraqi people start rebuilding their country and for U.S troops to come home.

Congress- Conde Nast Portfolio magazine is reporting that Senate Bank Committee Chairman Chris Dodd (D-CT) and Senator Kent Conrad (D-ND) received special mortgage deals from Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo. Countrywide is a leading offender in the mortgage meltdown. Both senators state they were unaware they were getting special treatment. This news could be more damaging to Senator Dodd who is playing a key role in crafting legislation for a broad housing rescue.

Veterans Affairs- A review by the Department of Veterans Affairs shows female military veterans are not receiving the level of quality care their male counterparts are receiving at VA facilities. While women currently make up about 5 percent of the VA’s population, that number will double in the next two years with more and more women serving on the front lines. The review calls for more doctors trained in women’s health and equipment to meet women’s health needs. Advocates and some members of Congress are calling for more emphasis to be placed by the Department on women’s health.

Do You Have A Plan?

The saying those who fail to plan, plan to fail is very true. I am definitely an example of this but when it comes to my finances I am turning this around. During this recession (yes, I said recession) people who failed to plan are feeling the heat; including our government. When it comes to money there are three plans everyone should have: savings, investing, and debt management. In addition to these plans, there are two things everyone must do: get a copy of your credit report and get identity theft protection.

By law we are all entitled to one copy of our credit report from the three credit bureaus each year. You can get yours at AnnualCreditReport.com. Your credit report is important in getting identity theft protection. There are programs out there but you can check with your bank and credit card companies to see what programs they have in place. To learn more about identity theft and what you can do to protect yourself and your children, check out the Identity Theft Resource Center. Do a search for children and you’ll find a fact sheet about identity theft and children. Getting your credit report and identity theft protection is a good start in increasing your financial education.

Increasing your financial education helps whether you are faced with a recession or good economic times. For products dedicated to increasing your financial education go to RichDad.com. Robert Kiyosaki, best-selling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, is concerned about the chasm between the rich and poor and the disappearing middle class in the United States and has created many excellent resources to help you be a “have”. Some products that I recommend are his book with Donald Trump, Why We Want You to Be Rich; Rich Dad Poor Dad; and Rich Woman. Robert, his wife Kim, and Donald not only give advice about wealth but they give you a history of money and what they did to chart their path towards success. The best thing about them is that they don’t need our money. These are people who never have to work another day in their life but do because they are concerned about the way the country and the world is heading when it comes to money. Below are some other resources that will help you create a savings, investing, and debt management plan.

Savings
The experts say you should have retirement savings and 3-6 months of “rainy day” funds. Now that we are in a recession I would agree you should continue or start saving for retirement. I would also have 12-24 months of “rainy day” funds. The recession and the amount of natural disasters we’ve experienced in the last few years leads to this conclusion about “rainy day” funds, not to mention the amount of layoffs. Not only should you be saving for retirement and a rainy day but for charitable giving/tithing and for investing. A simple way to begin saving is to see what savings programs your bank offers. Bank of America offers the Keep the Change Program while Wachovia has the Way2Save program. Both programs help you to automatically save when you use your check card to make purchases or pay bills online. You can also go to Money Advise to get online budgeting tools if you don’t have budgeting software like Quicken or Microsoft Money.

Investing
There are many things people can invest in but it mostly breaks down into paper assets (stocks, bonds, IPOs, etc), real estate, and businesses. A lot of people invest, at the basic level, in paper assets and this is a great way to start. To learn more about investing in paper assets go to Morningstar. There is a premium membership but there is a lot of information that can be accessed for free. To learn more about IRAs, 401Ks, etc. check out your bank web sites. To learn more about real estate investing and investing in businesses, visit your local library. Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, Robert Allen, Wendy Patton, and Dwan Bent-Twyford are some of the real estate gurus you may want to study. Also check out the Learning Annex. It has online and in-person classes in cities around the country. It also hosts a real estate and wealth expo every year, usually in the fall.

Debt Management
We all should have a plan for eliminating our “bad” debt. The difference between good and bad debt is leverage. Bad debt is debt we have to pay for ourselves. This includes consumer debt, student loans, and mortgages. Robert Kiyosaki has a CD with his wife Kim called How We Got out of Bad Debt that you can get at RichDad.com. It gives a simple plan to attack the debt you have in life by coming up with an extra $100-$200 a month. The plan will help you get out of debt sooner than you can even imagine. Another good resource is DebtAdvice.org. This site is sponsored by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling to help consumers deal with debt issues.

The best way, I’ve found, to deal with money is to be proactive. Learn as much as you can so you don’t become a victim to the so-called experts and salespeople who want to tell you what to do with your money but may not practice what they preach. Ultimately it’s your life and your money and you should be in control.

Oh Yes, I think They Can Dance!

Fox is back with season four of its summer hit, So You Think You Can Dance. In Round One, the dancers delivered big time. While not every performance was flawless, the bar has definitely been raised from last year. Not only has the talent level increased but the level of difficulty and creativity in choreography has also increased.

Mia Michaels choreographed a masterful routine, centered on the idea, “What would Tim Burton’s wedding be like?” Mark and Chelsie rose to the occasion and brought the concept to life. I was definitely a believer. If this is what Ms. Michaels is bringing to the stage in round one, I eagerly look forward to what she’ll create for the rest of the competition. I am also looking forward to seeing Wader Robson’s choreography for tonight’s group dance. He and Mia are truly dance visionaries. When you watch their work you know that not only will you be entertained but you have just witnessed greatness. We are blessed to be able to experience their work from the comfort of our living rooms. Wade and Mia are not the only choreographers to watch.

Even though she is no longer a judge I hope Debbie Allen will choreograph a number for the show. Hip Hop couple choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon brought some exciting work to the stage. Joshua and Katee danced to R& B Hit, No Air, by American Idol winner Jordan Sparks and Chris Brown. It was my other favorite performance of the night. It expressed the emotion involved as soldiers leave their loved ones to go to war. It was such a special and memorable piece and hit home for many, including myself, who have or had loved one serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. So many performances were really good but I don’t think a favorite dancer has emerged just yet.

Last year first runner up, Danny, was my favorite dancer from day one. He didn’t win the competition but I have no doubt he’s gainfully employed. He is definitely a choreographer’s dream. Danny made such an impression on me I wasn’t sure if this year’s talent would be at his level. While I don’t see a “Danny” the talent level is definitely high enough. I know I’m in for another great season. I don’t have a favorite yet but I hope that Twitch and Comfort stick around for another show, they bring such a positive attitude and talent to their performances and when they face critiques from the judges. So please don’t forget to vote in order to keep your favorite dancer in the competition.

Ways to Stay Healthy This Summer

Summer is a good time to be more proactive about living healthy. The recession we are now experiencing is causing higher levels of stress in people in addition to any stress they were already under. I believe stress is the number one silent killer of our times. Stress decreases your immune system and your ability to fight off illness. We overeat when we are stressed. We overspend when we are stressed. We consume more alcohol, caffeine and sugar when we are stressed. All these things lead to heart problems, high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes. There are inexpensive things you can do to live a healthier life and reduce stress.

Get eight hours of restful sleep each night.
This is the way to give your body some rest. It needs to recuperate from all it went through during the day. Studies are showing that lack of sleep contributes to negative health consequences like heart problems, weight gain, diabetes, and depression. Notice I say to get “restful” sleep each night. Leave your worries at the bedroom door and don’t watch anything violent or depressing, like the news, before you go to sleep. Clear your mind and drift off. After a few weeks of doing this you’ll notice the difference in how you feel.

Exercise for thirty minutes every day
I know that this is a hard one because most of us don’t enjoy exercise. Gym memberships are not cheap either and in a recession may not be an expense you cut out of your budget. However, you don’t need to go to the gym to exercise. Try walking. It’s a great way to lose calories and give you an energy boot. You can also try jump roping. It’s an inexpensive way to get a cardio work out. For strength training, you can do push ups and buy some dumbbells to work on your arm muscles. Of course sit-ups and crunches will help with tightening the midsection.

Drink more water and consume less caffeine and sugar
Drink the recommended 8 glasses of water to flush toxins out of your body and keep it cool during the heat of summer. Water is essential for healthy living. Reducing your intake of caffeine and sugar will ease the effects of stress on your body. After a few weeks you’ll begin to notice that you have a more positive mood.

Following these three tips will help you have a healthier summer and lifestyle for years to come. It will also save you money in future doctor bills.

Is travel becoming a luxury or is cheap travel still possible?

Flying is my preferred way to travel. However, the energy crises may be putting my love of cheap travel and last minute travel deals in jeopardy. Reports last week on the airline industry talked about layoffs, fewer planes in the sky, and reduced service on planes. Can we get peanuts anymore? Yesterday, thankfully, major airlines rolled back a $20 roundtrip fare increase, according to an article by the Associated Press. Many airlines are charging passengers if they check more than one piece of luggage. American Airlines is charging $15 for the first piece of luggage. The rollback of fare increases may be a signal that demand for airline travel is decreasing. This makes sense. If I am already paying $4 to fill my gas tank and I am being told that gas prices will continue to rise, I am going to think long and hard before I get on a plane. My vacation travel may be closer to home this summer. Luckily budget airlines like Airtran, JetBlue, and Southwest are still offering really good deals and they also have vacation package specials.
When booking hotel and car with your airline tickets, make sure you confirm your reservations. I would suggest doing this whenever you don’t deal directly with the hotel or rental car company. I have arrived at a hotel with confirmation number in hand but I didn’t confirm my reservation before I got there. Luckily they had rooms available and I was reimbursed when I was charged for my hotel twice. Another thing to watch is whether your itinerary is changed as you get closer to your travel date. As airlines decrease the number of flights you may not get the flight your originally chose, especially if you booked your flight three or more months in advance. The rise in fuel costs has the airlines scrambling so as you get closer to your travel date monitor your flight. Most airlines will email you if this happens.
A great web site is FareCompare.com. It allows you compare flights at all major airlines and budget airlines as well as gives you news about what’s happening in the airline industry. At the moment I don’t think airline travel is out of reach for the average person but if gas prices reach $6 as some are predicting, I think many will choose to stay on the ground and I may be one of them.

Hilary says “Yes We Can”, but is it enough?

On Saturday, at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, Senator Hilary Clinton suspended her campaign in front of a crowd of her supporters (go to blog.hilaryclinton.com to see transcript and video of the speech). She was gracious while at the same time signaling the level of power she has in the Democratic Party. Her speech definitely shows how she is creating her own legacy, separate from former President Bill Clinton. The question is does she have the power to deliver the 18 million votes to Senator Barack Obama? Can she convince her supporters to come out in record numbers and vote for him in November?
Hilary Clinton’s supporters have their reasons for supporting her and voting against Barack Obama. One of the reasons is a belief that he lacks readiness to be commander-in-chief, an idea she floated during the course of her campaign and will be used as ammunition by Senator McCain’s campaign in the general election. Senator Clinton even stated that Senator McCain is more ready to lead than Senator Obama. She said it so much that it may be a hard thing to overcome in the minds of her supporters. Their lack of confidence in Barack Obama, compounded with whatever racial feelings they dealt with when confronted with the Jeremiah Wright distraction, may be too much ground for her to make up on his behalf. Americans proved in the 2004 Presidential election that even if they feel the country is going in the wrong direction, they will vote for four more years of misery which could get worse if they don’t have confidence that the other candidate can deliver on his promise to change America for the better.
It is time for a change in Washington because America and Americans have suffered enough and are in desperate need of relief. We can’t wait for government to give us relief and have to do our parts to take care of ourselves, our families, and our communities. That is the grass roots, bottom up change this country needs. However, we deserve a government that works for us, not against us and in the interest of a few. I hope as Senator Clinton moves forward in creating her legacy that part of it will not be that she had a hand in keeping real change from happening at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
